Service Technician

plant maintenance, continuous /lean projects

• Perform Mechanical Walk down, software installation & Pre-commissioning, generator alignment, (wired Easy Laser) Preservation, Hot commissioning,120h Test and troubleshooting on V52-850KWWind Turbine.
• Execute scheduled maintenance & repair to appointed wind turbine following approved maintenance procedures as per vestas standards (Ensure 97% turbine availability to the client)
• Turbine preservation / scheduled maintenance/Trouble shooting/tool Maintenance.
• Deriving lean concepts to govern servicing /operations e.g., KAIZEN, FMEA,
• Utilize appropriate safety gear, protective equipment, and control or dissipation of energy sources to ensure work is performed in safe manner and risk assessment of tasks. Report and support health and safety matters (IMS).
• Conduct safety analysis and review of hazards and energy sources
• Complete required and accurate documentation associated with corrective and preventive maintenance of wind turbines and associated equipment; maintain records of documentation.
• Support Root Cause Analyses to assist in determining equipment failure and the reasons for failures when they occur. Raise CIR and NCR of components.
• Help to develop and support the plant’s improvement plan: detect weak points and risk in plans, support project selection and project mentoring and support plants on customer visits for Lean service reviews.
• Driving the Lean Methodology and culture of Continuous Improvement into the business Coordination of Continuous Improvement Activities (Kaizen / Lean service / – Operational Excellence Supporting wind farm to attain and exceed their CI savings targets.
• Provide technical support in the implementation of the CI Strategy in the formulation and execution of process improvement projects application opportunities for CI and the elimination of waste in conjunction with the wind farm, develop action plans and monitor progress of CI Roadmap projects.
• Developing cost savings plans in wind farm through the application of practical solutions and CI / Lean tools to reduce and eliminate waste-Maximum service utilization.

Maintenance Engineer

• Ensure all forming and wrapping machines are maintained correctly, fault diagnosed correctly and in time, all users trained accordingly on how to operate, report faults, and do basic maintenance.
• Facilitate Right First-Time approach in all forming and wrapping machinery to enhance productivity and higher yields by ensuring changeovers and machine adjustments are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure daily and routine maintenance is conducted in all other allocated lines and /or machines, Writing and compiling of daily report for the machinery.
• Resolve factory breakdowns in a structured manner ensuring that recurrence is eliminated.
• Train operators on Dos, Don’ts, simple repairs, and trouble shootings related to machinery.
• Keep accurate logs of machinery failures, alterations and/ or changeovers to fast-track effects of changes to machinery and equipment, monitor daily MTTR, MTBF and line efficiency.
• Supporting Kaizen Lean Tools in production and maintenance e.g., KAIZEN, PDCA, TQM, TPM, TSM, TFM.
• Check and audit COTI schedule prepare the PM and weekly maintenance schedule.
• Oversee equipment start up and shutdown to ensure that operators do not encounter simple technical hitches that can delay production or cause quality failure.
• Assist machine operators in machine inspection during cleaning while ensuring that lubrication is performed appropriately and as per lubrication schedule.
• Participate in allocated projects works and briefing the shift mechanical engineer on all the maintenance progress, update energy reduction measures.
Achievements.
• Reduced downtime by 25% and improved machine efficiency by 30%.
• Have reduced waste to manageable level, rework 1 % (candy division).
• Improved plant OEE from 75% to 85% and maintained it.
• Maintained good SOPs and SHEQ standards.

Maintenance technician

• Plant maintenance (Autonomous, scheduled, unscheduled.)- Mold injections systems.
• Attending to breakdowns, Enhancing health and safety policies/first Aid.

• High machine availability, increased production (production targets met).
